Choose it for aerial beams and prism cues

Use the AL380B when the design calls for narrow moving beams across a room or above a stage. The fixed gobo wheel changes the projected pattern, and the two prisms create multiple beam images. Frost softens the beam for a different cue texture; plan separate wash fixtures when the job requires broad, even coverage of performers or scenery.

Match the fixture to the working distance, ambient light and haze conditions of your venue. For a comparison with another model, request illuminance readings at the same distance and beam setting, with the colour, gobo and prism settings identified. Lamp wattage alone does not establish which fixture will produce the stronger result.

Control and installation planning

Allow 16 DMX channels per fixture in your console patch. Confirm the fixture profile and channel functions before programming movement, colour and effects. Master/slave and auto modes are available for setups that do not use individual console control.

The AL380B is an IP20 fixture for dry indoor operation. Plan mounting around its weight, dimensions and full movement path, with suitable rigging hardware, a secondary safety attachment and clear ventilation. Have a qualified installer check the rig and follow the operating and mounting instructions supplied with the ordered fixture. Include lamp access and cooling time in your maintenance plan.

AL380B questions

Does the AL380B use an LED source?

No. It uses a 380W YODN lamp. Specify AL380B in your enquiry and ask for the replacement-lamp reference and maintenance instructions for your order.

Can the AL380B operate in rain?

No. Its IP20 rating is intended for dry indoor use. For a weather-exposed installation, request an outdoor beam model suited to the site and connection conditions.

Which effects can I combine in a show?

The fixture includes fixed gobos, colour selection, two prisms, a rainbow wheel, frost and strobe. Send your required cue sequence so the channel chart and effect combinations can be checked against your console setup.

What should I send for a project quotation?

Include the quantity, delivery country, working distance, mounting height, venue conditions and console model. Ask for the AL380B configuration, electrical requirements, mounting accessories and transport packaging to be listed in the quotation.
